Kitchen Knife Repair
While cooking one day not that long ago, a knife a a little too close to the burner and the scales were ruined. I cut the old scales and rivets off, and cleaned the blade up. Afterwards, Brass and Stainless Loveless bolts were used in conjunction with marine grade epoxy to fasten the black and red G10 to the knife, and I shaped them to my liking. The scales I used were 1/8" black and red G10, and the new think handle feels amazing in my hand. The difference is so much that I am looking at the remaining knives in the kitchen, wondering if they need new handles too. It's no wonder that it is now the hands down favorite knife in the kitchen. -M |
